Event Description It is set! Durham’s premier special event, the World Beer Festival, returns on October 9th to Durham Bulls Athletic Park! The DBAP provides a dramatic setting for the WBF and a major reason USAToday ranked our festivals among the top beer festivals in the count

Beer Tasting Event (2 Sessions)
Afternoon Session: 12 PM - 4 PM

With hundreds of beers here for you to sample, it is impossible to try them all.
Here are some strategies to make the most of your experience.

MAKE A PLAN

Pick a theme to organize your tasting choice:
• Taste beers from one nation or region, e.g. Belgium,
or the American South.
• Select one style and compare examples from different
breweries, e.g. India pale ales.
• Taste a range of bitter beers: pale ales, India pale ales
and German pilsners.
• Taste a range of sweeter, malty beers: Scottish ales,
German and Czech dark beers, porters and stouts.

HOW TO TASTE BEER

• First, look at the beer, and notice its color and head.
• Next, smell the beer’s aromas.
• Taste the beer, and see how the flavor develops.
• Talk over your impression with friends, or make notes.
