Category: Beer Tasting

The Lobotomy Bock From Indian Wells Brewing Company in Inyokern, California pours out walnut brown in color, with the tiniest of light making it through, and a thin tan colored head that readily dissipates. On the nose aromas of dark chocolate, espresso bean, some dark dried fruit and a hint of alcohol. In the mouth the flavors are muted. Dark, dried fruit, hints of chocolate and coffee. Little lacing. Light side of medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Thin almost clean mouthfeel. The finish is pretty short and rather lackluster. Not a bad beer but far from a great beer. Hard to believe this is 10.50% ABV as it shows no alcohol warmth in the mouth.

12 ounce bottle, 10.50% ABV
