The Summer Solstice Cerveza Crema from Anderson Valley Brewing Company in Boonville, California pours out a deep copper in color with good clarity and a two finger, light tan head that hangs around briefly. On the nose aromas of brown sugar, burnt toffee, graham crackers, vanilla and a little hops. In the mouth this is very creamy with flavors of baked apple pie, graham cracker, caramel, vanilla and hints of orange. Medium bodied. Moderate carbonation. Decent lacing. Very creamy mouthfeel. Slightly drying on the finish but not overly. This is sort of like a slightly sweet, graham cracker creamsicle that has alcohol in it. Very refreshing and although not your typical summer brew I really liked it.
