The Lost Continent Double IPA from Grand Teton Brewing Company's Cellar Reserve Series pours out an orangish bronze in color with a good bit of cloud, some sediment and a thick foamy, off white head that is hanging around. Huge West Coast, hoppy, citrus nose with caramel and malt in the background. In the mouth you get the orange, grapefruit and apricot flavors first that become tempered by sweet malts with flavors of caramel and honey. This beer is packed with flavor. Moderate carbonation. Medium bodied. Lovely lacing. Rich mouthfeel with coating oil. The finish has good sweetness to it but not enough to keep the potent hop flavors down which come through all the way to the end. What a fantastic Double IPA. Not overly bitter as there is a good bit of malt to balance things but the flavors are intense.

12 ounce bottle, 8.00% ABV, 90+ IBU
