Category: Beer Tasting

The Lost Dog Red Ale from Napa Smith Brewery in Napa, California pours out a reddish amber with some brown hues, a little bit of cloud and a one finger, light tan colored head that dissipates quickly. On the nose aromas of caramel, iced tea, pine and some malt. In the mouth flavors of caramel (becomes more prominent as the beer warms slightly) with some sweetness then becomes quite tart with lemon, pine, floral and spicy aspects. Medium bodied. Some lacing. Decent carbonation. Pretty clean mouthfeel with just a little oil. The finish is tart and spicy. Tastes a bit like a hopped up version of their Amber Ale.

22 ounce bomber, 7.20% ABV
