The Summer Kolsch-Style Ale from Alaskan Brewing Company in Juneau, Alaska pours out light gold in color with good clarity, a few lazy streams of bubbles and a one finger white head that readily dissipates. On the nose aromas of lemon, leafy hops and a little biscuit. In the mouth flavors of lemon, orange on the hop side with some yeast and maltiness. Light side of medium bodied. Decent carbonation. Little lacing. Crisp mouthfeel. Pretty dry on the finish with a slightly biting hop character. A very nice, well balanced, refreshing Summer Ale.
