The Indian Brown Ale from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery in Milton, Delaware pours out espresso black in color, is opaque and has a lovely two finger, mocha colored head that exhibits good retention. On the nose big coffee aroma along with roasted grains, burnt sugar, bittersweet chocolate and floral hops. In the mouth flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, pumpernickel bread, molasses, vanilla and good bitterness. Medium bodied. Good lacing. Moderate carbonation. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Dry on an elongated finish with good coffee flavor and bitterness. An excellent brown ale I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.
