Category: Beer Tasting

The Red Chair IPA from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon pours out a rich copper in color with good clarity and a large, rocky, off-white head that hangs around. On the nose delicious pine and citrus hop aromas with underlying caramel maltiness. In the you first get a good caramel and toffee like sweetness that becomes intertwined with a grapefruit and pine hop bite lending great balance to this beer. Moderate carbonation. Medium bodied. Nice lacing. Oil in the mouthfeel with a little cream. A nice hoppy finish intertwined with notes of spice. What a wonderful beer this is. Well worth trying (over and over again).

22 ounce bomber, 6.40% ABV, 55 IBU
