The Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat from Boston Beer Company in Boston, Massachusetts pours out a golden amber in color with good clarity and a decent size, off white head that dissipates fairly quickly. On the nose aromas of cherry pie, Mon Cherie chocolate cherry candies and a tiny bit of malty sweetness. In the mouth the cherry flavor is much more subdued than it was on the nose but you definitely know you are drinking a cherry flavored beer. Some tartness and grainy wheat flavor too. Light side of medium bodied. Good carbonation. Little lacing. Crisp, clean mouthfeel. A bit more sour towards the end on a decent length finish. More of a fruit accented beer than a fruit beer like a lambic is. Still good though and a nice change of pace on a hot day.

La Goudale from Les Brasseurs de Gayant in Douai, France pours out a golden honey in color with good clarity and a voluminous, white head that sticks around. On the nose aromas of honey, caramel, lemon, apple and tart cherry. In the mouth this has good balance between sweetness and tartness with nice fruit, sweet malt and spice flavors. Medium bodied. Good carbonation. Nice lacing. Creamy mouthfeel. Elongated finish with some dryness and a slight sourness. This Biere de Garde was well worth drinking and quite reasonably priced.

The Organic Hefe-Weizen from Brauerei Pinkus Mueller pours out a pale yellow in color with some cloud (unfiltered) and a tightly knit, white head that goes away pretty quickly. On the nose this is quite bready with an almost bubblegum like sweetness. In the mouth flavors of wheat, malt, citrus with a notable tartness. Light bodied. Pretty low carbonation. Little lacing. Crisp, clean, tart mouthfeel. Decent length, dry finish that is very tart/sour to the point your mouth puckers. A very good beer for the heat. Refreshing, rejuvenating and doesn't weigh you down.

500ml bottle, 5.10% ABV
